Eating-in-Bed Cookbook
I don’t eat in bed. But I love thinking about it. What more delightful way to fall asleep than fantasizing about buttered toast and jam and a cup of hot chocolate? I should’ve suspected that someone, somewhere has devoted a whole book to such deep-rooted pleasures. But I didn’t. So I almost laughed out loud when, at my local Friends of the Library Bookstore, I stumbled on The Eating-in-Bed Cookbook, by Barbara Ninde Byfield, with its pajama-striped cover, whimsical illustrations, and hilarious recipes.
